Toby, burdened by the guilt of his friend Detective Charlie Marks' murder and his mother's disappearance, decides to embrace his telepathic abilities to assist those in need. When he saves a woman from drowning, her amnesia presents an ideal chance for him to help her uncover her identity. Meanwhile, Sgt. Michelle McCluskey from the IIB investigates the woman, becoming intrigued by Toby's link to her and discovering his troubling past involvement in several high-profile criminal cases. As tensions rise, Toby must navigate the complexities of his gift and the scrutiny of law enforcement.
