Jules is eager to gain Beth's support for her attempt to revive her romance with Brockmire, but their initial interactions are rocky. Things take a turn when Jules decides to befriend Beth, introducing her to the joys of drinking. Meanwhile, Jim is furious, believing that Jules is leading his daughter down the wrong path.
