When Manumalo came back to camp, Steffi revealed to the tribe that she had mistakenly voted for Cobus, despite their strategy to either eliminate Jacques with the idol or force it out of play. The tribe praised Jacques for his daring decision, but he made a bold statement, announcing that he would use his idol to eliminate the strongest competitor if he became a target at the next Tribal Council. The others were taken aback and appalled by his choice of words.
