Episode Overview

Abby's death leaves Capeside grappling with an overwhelming wave of pretense. Jen becomes increasingly frustrated by the town's insincerity, leading her to publicly challenge her faith, much to Grams' dismay. During Abby's eulogy, Jen further shocks Grams by claiming Abby revealed the deception of God. Abby's mother, under the impression that Andie and Abby were close, asks her to speak at the service, which stirs painful memories of Andie’s brother. Meanwhile, Pacey grows anxious about Andie’s behavior, and Joey hesitates to attend the funeral, having not faced one since her mother's passing. At the cemetery, she and Dawson decide to visit her mother’s grave together for the first time.
