Niles finds himself in a tight spot when the police interrogate him about lending Maris the antique crossbow, which has now become the murder weapon in a shocking incident. Maris claims she was defending herself during the altercation. Meanwhile, she bombards Niles with phone calls from her jail cell, much to Daphne's growing frustration and anger.
