Episode Overview

Jiraiya loosens the seal on the Nine Tails so that Naruto can harness the Tailed Beast's abilities. As he does this, Jiraiya reflects on the prophecy shared with him long ago by the Great Lord Elder, who foretold that he would have a student. The Elder emphasized that Jiraiya’s mentorship would determine whether this student would bring salvation to the Ninja World or lead to its ruin.
