With a shortage of beds, one patient is left to recuperate on a trolley in the hallway. Despite Steph's objections, Luke is given the go-ahead to discharge her early, leading to disastrous results. Meanwhile, Terri tries to support Peter as he comes to terms with his disabilities, struggling to adapt to life as a patient. Connor's awkward visit to Lily, the attractive acupuncturist, leads to embarrassing outcomes.
