In the frigid expanse of Alaska, Marty faces a tough challenge as he tries to free his snow machine from a persistent overflow after a night spent under the stars. Meanwhile, in Ruby Valley, Rich embarks on a special training outing with his oldest dog, Brandy, and his youngest, Hatchet. Eustace and Preston begin an essential deer hunt, but their plans are disrupted by unexpected loud visitors. Over in the Yaak Valley, Tom receives a call from his friend Tim about a beaver issue, which gives him the chance to impart a valuable lesson. In Maine, Charlie and Jim venture onto a frozen river to cut out hefty 100-pound ice blocks for Charlie's root cellar.
