Episode Overview

Lauren Moffet secretly meets her lover, Neil Benson, causing concern for her friend Christine, who doubts Neil's honesty due to his marital status. After speaking with Neil's secretary, Christine discovers he is actually single and shares this revelation with Lauren. In retaliation, Lauren deceives Neil by pretending to be with Mark in her bed. Enraged, Neil leaves, possibly for good. Later, Lauren fabricates a story about talking to Neil's nonexistent wife, leading to their reconciliation. Meanwhile, Janice Copeland is anxious about her husband Richard's participation in a yacht race post-heart surgery, while Richard struggles with Janice's overprotectiveness and their declining intimacy. As Richard reconnects with old friend Peter on the yacht, he unexpectedly shares a passionate moment with Beverly Wilder, a member of the race committee. Ultimately, Peter helps reunite Richard and Janice. Newlyweds Eddie and J arrive from the rural South, adding to the unfolding drama.
