Having defeated the Protestants and overcome Leto, Louis stands tall, believing he is unstoppable. However, his family and the nation remain fractured. What does the future hold for him? What kind of legacy will he leave behind? Louis calls for the Dauphin, eager to impart lessons on kingship. He then makes plans to visit Paris to bestow blessings upon the ill, unaware that rebels are plotting an assassination attempt against him.
