On Evie's thirteenth birthday, Donna is compelled to unveil the secret she has kept for years when Evie demonstrates an extraordinary ability to freeze time. She discovers that she is half alien, with her father hailing from the planet Antareus, contradicting her mother's long-standing claim that he was a CIA agent. Along with this revelation, Evie receives a unique cube from her father, a genetic device that lets her communicate with him on Antareus. While anyone nearby can hear her father's voice through the cube, only Evie can be heard by him.
