Episode Overview

Title: Dead Dog Walking Plot: Bullethead finds himself in a tough situation when his dog is taken to the pound, and he lacks the funds to rescue him. Simultaneously, Cedric is kicked out of his mother's apartment and turns to Steve for temporary housing. As Steve receives his first paycheck, he is taken aback, realizing how challenging it will be to make ends meet on a teacher's salary. Cedric is also struggling; the tension at home with his mother and her new boyfriend is escalating. Regina, however, is more focused on getting Steve to complete a personal profile for the PTA newsletter than his financial woes. To engage his students, Steve assigns them to write a blues song. Initially resistant, they eventually warm up when he performs “Teacher with a Teeny-Weeny Paycheck Blues.” However, when Romeo presents his song, Bullethead storms out of the classroom. Steve follows to understand his friend's distress.
