Episode Overview

Steve takes charge of organizing the school's annual Teachers Appreciation Day assembly, which frustrates Cedric, who has traditionally been in charge of the event. As the acting principal, Steve faces the added pressure of managing the assembly while also dating a younger woman. With Regina at home grieving her husband's passing, Steve steps into the role of Acting Principal. When he decides to oversee the Teachers Appreciation Assembly, Cedric is upset, insisting that it's his event to coordinate. Undeterred, Steve moves forward, selecting Bullethead to host and enlisting Lydia and Romeo as his writing team. Meanwhile, Steve enlists Lovita and Cedric to keep Regina company so he can have a romantic dinner with his new girlfriend. Angered by Steve's takeover, Lovita insists he hand the assembly back to Cedric. When Cedric and Lovita seek Regina's help, Steve suddenly collapses, appearing to suffer a heart attack.
