Steve's parents are visiting, and in an effort to dodge any marriage discussions, he decides not to invite Regina to dinner, which leaves her hurt and Steve struggling to find the right words to explain. Cedric suggests that Steve jot down his thoughts to clarify his motivations. However, in a twist of fate, his private rants accidentally get emailed to Regina, complicating the situation even further.
