Frustrated with consistently losing to a boy in tennis, Telly believes she needs a metal racket to improve her chances, moving on from her old wooden one. Budnick offers her a metal racket, but in exchange, he hints at a future favor he will require. As Telly prepares for her match, she grows anxious when Budnick starts taking bets on her performance, acting as a bookie for the event.
