Episode Overview

John Cannon faces a heart-wrenching choice: send his son into danger to protect their besieged ranch. Three army deserters, who have killed Apaches on Cannon's property, are captured by the Indians. Captain Dabney attempts to rescue the men but only manages to secure Apache hostages, including a female relative of Cochise. When Dabney refuses to negotiate for the prisoners, the Apaches prepare to execute the deserters along with Sam, who is also held captive. Cannon must decide if he will entrust his son, Billy Blue, with the risky task of returning Dabney's hostages to Cochise. Guest Stars: Warren Stevens as Captain Dabney, Nino Cochise, grandson of Cochise as Cochise.
