Episode Overview

John Cannon is in desperate need of cattle from Mexican ranchers to fulfill his Army beef contract, but discovers that the terrified ranchers are being coerced into selling at low prices to a merciless buyer, Dolf Tanner. When John proposes better prices, the ranchers decline, fearing for their lives due to Tanner's threats. In an attempt to pressure them, John and his brother Buck deny the ranchers access to water while they steer their herds towards Tanner. In retaliation, Tanner arms the Apaches with new rifles, inciting them to attack the Cannon herds.
