Tanjiro embarks on intense training with Yoriichi Type Zero, guided by Kotetsu’s rigorous coaching and demanding exercises. As he pushes through the challenges, Tanjiro develops an impressive ability to anticipate his opponent's next attack using his keen sense of smell. During one particularly intense session, Tanjiro manages to strike Yoriichi Type Zero, inadvertently causing its destruction. To his surprise, a sword from over 300 years ago emerges from within the wreckage, revealing a significant connection to his journey.
