S02E07 The Chief's Gay Evening
Episode Overview
The Chief embarks on a stakeout with two officers, aiming to catch an elderly woman who has been targeting victims. One officer disguises himself as a woman and mingles on the streets, while the Chief and another officer monitor the situation from inside, listening intently to the recordings. During their wait, the Chief makes some off-color jokes about gay people, which offends the officer. In response, the officer reveals that he is gay. The Chief acknowledges the challenges that come with being open about it. Eventually, while the Chief is caught in the bathroom, the other officer learns that the targeter has struck again and rushes out to intervene, sustaining an injury in the process. In the end, the Chief realizes he’s not such a bad person after all.
