Gimme a Break! (1981)

Episode Overview

Nell reaches out to the Chief for assistance, and he promises to contact a police friend who will travel to New York, but his flights face three delays. Meanwhile, Nell discovers that the man from whom they took the suitcase is just a few doors down, causing her to panic and flee with Addy to dispose of it. Unbeknownst to them, the man is an undercover cop who suspects they're involved with drugs. When the Chief's friend finally arrives, he clears their names, revealing their ties to a police Chief in California. The officers realize they need to protect the girls. In a rush, Nell and Addy abandon the suitcase and hop into a taxi, accidentally bumping into Tony Randall, who offers them a ride. Believing they've successfully ditched the suitcase, they return to the hotel only to find out that Tony picked it up and brought it back. Ultimately, as the officers burst into their room, Nell decides to fire a gun to alert the police outside.
