Gimme a Break! (1981)

Episode Overview

Nel discovers that Joey is exceptionally talented and suggests he take a test to determine the right grade for him. However, Joey insists that he’s happy in the 4th grade and just wants to focus on baseball. Undeterred, Nel encourages him to try various musical instruments, with the piano being her top choice. Ultimately, Joey sneaks off to the park, and Nel realizes he skipped the test. Understanding that a nine-year-old should enjoy life rather than be burdened by stress, she decides to let him remain in the 4th grade and have fun.
