Gimme a Break! (1981)

Episode Overview

Loretta, Nell's sister, arrives in town after deciding to leave Howard. Seeking guidance, she turns to Nell, who feels uncertain about how to assist her. Tensions rise when Mama Maybelle arrives and labels Nell a homewrecker. Meanwhile, Joey is frustrated with Nell for his declining grades, as he spends all his time focused on baseball. Loretta encourages Nell to support Joey in pursuing his true passion, which resonates with Nell. Ultimately, when Mama learns that Loretta has left Howard, she urges her to return, and Loretta ultimately agrees to do so.
