Episode Overview

On October 16, 1882, President Chester Arthur dispatches Ferguson from Washington, D.C. to look into the rising crime rates in Tombstone. Accompanying him is Elizabeth Blythe, a determined reporter from New York. Their investigation takes a dangerous turn when Ed Chandler and his crew abduct them, hoping to leverage their capture for the release of Ed's brother, Joe, who is imprisoned. As Ferguson and Blythe navigate their perilous situation, they uncover the harsh truth that "wherever sudden wealth arises, so too does sudden demise," highlighting the rampant lawlessness that often accompanies a booming town.
