Episode Overview

On April 27, 1880, attorney Fred Griffin is determined to seize Indian territory to sell it to the railroad. To incite conflict, he enlists Jess Buckhorn, who fails to eliminate Little Hawk, a horse thief, before he arrives in Tombstone. In response, Griffin attempts to incite a lynching. To protect Little Hawk from the mob, Clay and his two deputies escort him to Father Miguel at the mission. Seeking refuge, Little Hawk insists he was merely relocating six horses for better grazing. However, in a bid for freedom, he shoots Dexter, one of Clay's deputies, and knocks out Father Miguel.
