As Mad Jack accompanies Sumi, a young Indian woman, back to her reservation, he is taken aback when he discovers that his burro, Number Seven, has unearthed a gold nugget. At the same time, Nakoma encounters Sumi and mistakenly believes she has developed feelings for Mad Jack, leading him to confront Jack with a challenge to a duel.
