Feeling overwhelmed by army life, Reese decides to go AWOL and disguises himself as an Afghani woman. Unbeknownst to him, Lois is determined to track him down and embarks on a journey to Kabul in search of her son. Meanwhile, Malcolm grapples with guilt over Reese's departure and chooses to volunteer at a veterans hospital to atone for his actions.
