When Gordon steps in to help a nearby family with their troubles, he inadvertently stirs up a host of issues, and soon finds himself in the midst of a violent clash that affects the Royal's patients. At the same time, baby Aisling's adoption reaches its conclusion, but Sister Brigid struggles with her conflicting emotions about the situation.
