Katie's secretive boyfriend, Trip, a war reporter, has returned and is now at the MMN offices. Despite Katie's attempts to keep their relationship under wraps, Carol uncovers the truth using a scheme inspired by "Days of Our Lives." Meanwhile, Chuck, feeling insecure about Trip's presence, is eager to get back into the field. Initially, Greg and Justin back Chuck's plan until they stumble upon old footage of his reporting days from the '90s.
