Episode Overview

Overton feels embarrassed when he unexpectedly runs into Melody, the woman who once broke his heart by rejecting his marriage proposal, at the hardware store. He quickly tries to slip away, but Melody later contacts him through his friend Pug. Despite Synclaire’s objections, Overton agrees to meet her at Cheezy Burger. When Kyle accidentally reveals details about the proposal, a furious Synclaire decides to seek revenge by heading to Bayonne to see a man who sends her holiday cards each year, only to find out he’s just an insurance agent. Meanwhile, Melody expresses her newfound appreciation for Overton and expresses her desire to be with him, but when she leans in for a kiss, he realizes he no longer has feelings for her, as his heart belongs to Synclaire. Regine is irritated to find that Khadijah and Synclaire have redecorated the apartment, leaving her with the least desirable bedroom, but she perks up when she discovers a hidden surprise.
