Episode Overview

During homecoming celebrations, Whitley takes the lead in designing a step routine for Gilbert Hall’s competition, but her overbearing nature irritates her teammates. After she offends Freddie, who struggles with rhythm, team captain Jaleesa kicks her off the team. This prompts Whitley to reflect on her actions after an eye-opening encounter with her childhood hero, a 92-year-old alumnus who has never formed close relationships. Meanwhile, Walter coerces Dwayne into helping "The Meat Locker," the star offensive lineman, study for a crucial math test that he must ace to play in the upcoming big game.
