A Different World (1987)

Episode Overview

Walter rallies several students to volunteer at a local community center. Whitley takes on the role of ballet instructor for the children and forms a bond with a young boy named Dion, who claims to be living in poverty. When Whitley discovers her wallet has been stolen, she's heartbroken to find out that Dion was behind it, having stretched the truth about his financial struggles to exploit her generosity. Despite feeling disheartened, Whitley decides to continue teaching, determined to support Dion. Meanwhile, with Walter occupied, Col. Taylor steps in for the bowling team but proves to be a poor player, prompting Mr. Gaines and the team to find a way to replace him.
