Episode Overview

Whitley finds herself needing to dip into her father's tuition check to pay her rent. In her search for work, she rejects every opportunity, particularly disgusted by the idea of taking a job at a mortuary alongside Kim. Instead, she collaborates with Ron to throw a party at a warehouse, charging admission. The event is a hit, but the fire marshal intervenes, penalizing both Ron and Whitley for overcrowding. While Dwayne sells his computer to help cover tuition costs, Jaleesa cautions Whitley that Dwayne's generosity may not last forever. To make ends meet, Whitley sells some jewelry, accepts the mortuary position, and buys back Dwayne's computer. Meanwhile, Terrence returns from a weekend in Washington, D.C., announcing his conversion to Islam, but his father questions whether Terrence has thought it through.
