Episode Overview

Dwayne realizes that Whitley has manipulated Kim into helping her organize her own surprise birthday celebration. To confront her, he takes Whitley out for a modest dinner and reveals that he has canceled the party. Whitley argues that after a tough year, she deserves a memorable birthday, while Dwayne insists she should have trusted him to handle the planning. He then sends her to the kitchen and secretly gathers their friends in the living room to pull off the surprise. Meanwhile, Charmaine and Terrell are struggling in French class but refuse Gina's help, leading them to hide a baby monitor in her bag to cheat on the oral midterm. They get caught and fail, leaving Charmaine feeling embarrassed, especially after Gina's earlier jabs about her grades.
