Episode Overview

The Jedi Council grows suspicious of Senator Rush Clovis, a representative from the InterGalactic Banking Clan and an old acquaintance of Padmé Amidala, believing he might be collaborating with the Separatists. Despite Anakin's objections, the Council enlists Padmé’s help to accompany Clovis to Cato Neimoidia in hopes of discovering his true loyalties. Padmé agrees, thinking her former romantic connection with Clovis could be advantageous. While managing Anakin's jealousy and surviving an assassination attempt by Neimoidian Lott Dod, Padmé uncovers Clovis's treachery, revealing his plans to partner with the Separatists in establishing a military droid factory on Geonosis.
