Episode Overview

Olympic gold medalist Mary Lou Retton arrives in Baywatch to organize a Special Olympics event for individuals with mental disabilities. Inspired by Mary Lou, Mitch decides to mentor a teen named Darnell, who becomes overly focused on winning rather than the spirit of the competition. Meanwhile, Stephanie forms a friendship with Sammy, a quiet young girl with Down syndrome who struggles with self-confidence and doesn’t put forth much effort in her abilities.
