Mitch gets entangled with the law again after reconnecting with Tanner, a nine-year-old boy suffering from abuse. Determined to protect him, Mitch takes Tanner away from his cruel father, Blake, and offers him shelter at his home. Meanwhile, Alex joins forces with Mitch, becoming his ally in their mission to provide safety and support for Tanner.
