In a special episode celebrating International Dog Day, Julian confronts the tough task of performing surgery on his beloved dog, Emmy, who is not fond of needles. Meanwhile, Peter operates on a Great Dane with a tumor in its leg, while a spaniel is brought in urgently after getting her side torn open on barbed wire. Julian also checks in on a sheepdog whose leg he had previously repaired with a metal plate, but now he needs to remove it.
