Emily is in a relationship with Danny, an old school buddy of Carol's, who can't help but make jokes about his own weight issues. Meanwhile, Laverne is consumed by gossiping with fellow nurses whenever she has a moment to spare. However, her casual chatter takes a turn when another nurse accidentally overhears her and Harry in the supply closet and spreads the news through the rumor mill.
