Overview

A Soviet live-action version of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Fellowship of the Ring was broadcast by Leningrad Television in 1991, after which it was presumed to be lost. However, it was found again in 2021. This adaptation features scenes with Tom Bombadil and the Barrow-wight, which were not included in Peter Jackson’s film trilogy of The Lord of the Rings.
