Episode Overview
Dr. Paul Dangerfield, a charming doctor and police surgeon, is starting to cope with the loss of his wife Celia in a tragic car accident. As he contemplates a romantic connection with fellow GP Joanna Stevens, he grapples with his emotions. Meanwhile, a shocking discovery is made when a naked woman's body is found by the canal. Paul teams up with forensic specialist Terri Morgan to uncover her identity and the circumstances of her death, but they clash over whether she had a pulse when found. DI Jackson urges Paul to be cautious with his report to avoid backlash. At the Wickton Road Health Centre, Joanna seeks Paul's help to persuade her elderly father, Harry, to accept moving into sheltered housing after his hospital stay.
