Dr. Paige (Nigel Havers) is introduced when one of his patients, a declining pop star battling cancer, tragically passes away from what appears to be an overdose. While the initial signs suggest suicide, Dangerfield suspects foul play and believes someone may have assisted the pop star in his demise, with Dr. Paige emerging as the primary suspect. As Dangerfield delves deeper into an apparent case of euthanasia, he finds himself in a difficult position, casting doubt on an old friend and colleague, Dr. Jonathan Paige. During the autopsy, Dangerfield uncovers an injection mark, solidifying the suspicions against Dr. Paige, who vehemently claims he had no part in his friend's death.
