Naked City (1958)

Episode Overview

A wealthy millionaire becomes the target of kidnappers who aim to use him for ransom to free a young girl from a struggling family. The criminals are a husband, who has faced multiple failures in life, and his ambitious wife, who threatens to leave him if he doesn’t cooperate with her plan. The girl's mother, fearful of involving the authorities, keeps quiet, but an inquisitive neighbor manages to connect the dots for the detectives. Meanwhile, the husband wrestles with his conscience, as he has a deep affection for children, while his wife harbors resentment from her responsibilities of caring for her younger siblings.
