Episode Overview

The castaways tune in to the radio and learn that a plane will soon fly over their island, but their broken transmitter means they can’t reach out. Gilligan overhears the Skipper dreaming about fixing the transmitter, yet when the Skipper tries to recall how he did it in the Navy, he struggles to fall back asleep. Each castaway decides to help by secretly adding tranquilizers to the Skipper's mango juice. In a moment of frustration, Gilligan accidentally hits the transmitter, and to everyone’s surprise, it starts working! However, when he tries to demonstrate the fix, he strikes it again, causing it to completely break apart just as the plane passes overhead.
