Episode Overview

The Professor realizes that a crewed spacecraft is set to fly over the island, and he sets out to create a telegraph machine. When his efforts don’t succeed, the Castaways decide to use burning logs to signal for help by spelling out SOS. However, chaos ensues when Gilligan accidentally catches fire and stumbles into the logs, resulting in them spelling SOL, the name of one of the astronauts! In a humorous moment, you can spot Gilligan’s pants smoking as he tries to light the logs, just before he backs into the flames!
