Episode Overview
The group is staying at Xav's home, where they receive guidance from Gonnard the Great, the original master of Grufon. During their visit, a traveling herald brings alarming news of stolen kamas (gold coins) across the land. Fearing for his own stash, Ruel retreats into his magical bag and uses a recall potion to head back home, prompting the others, including Gonnard, to follow him. Upon arrival, they find his home nestled in a clay mesa, secured with a special code to protect his hidden treasure. Gonnard reveals he's a shapeshifting genie who becomes as tough as gold when he consumes kamas. Overwhelming the group, he continues to devour more. Not wanting to lose his own kamas, Ruel cleverly tricks Gonnard into eating chocolate coins instead. As Gonnard transforms into chocolate, Ruel traps him in a glass vase and leaves him in his vault.
