MacGyver and Pete travel to Asia on a mission to save a nun, an old friend of Pete's, along with the orphaned children she looks after, from hostile regime soldiers. While in the region, MacGyver unexpectedly encounters his former fiancée, Debra. Now, he must juggle the urgent mission, reconcile his past feelings with Debra, and evade the troops, all before they can track them down.
