Episode Overview
A man is viciously killed by an unseen attacker, leaving behind a chilling spearhead weapon. Days later, Jack Taylor returns to Galway after a year away, clean and determined to avoid trouble and the cycle of violence. However, his resolve is immediately challenged when the mother of the murdered man pleads for his assistance. Complicating matters, an eager young man named Cody, who idolizes Jack, shows up wanting to be his partner. To make things worse, Jack’s old flame, Ann Hennessey, re-enters his life, now in a toxic relationship with a businessman who abuses her. Furious and protective, Jack learns about a vigilante group called The Pikemen, who want to restore Galway's former safety. They invite him to join their cause, but Jack declines.
