The Virginian (1962)

Episode Overview

Sixteen-year-old Tabby McCallum (Joan Freeman) is reprimanded by the Virginian for her reckless act of shooting a Shiloh steer. In a fit of anger, she attempts to set the Shiloh barn ablaze but ends up getting accidentally shot by Sam Hicks (Charles Aidman), a hand on the ranch. Her brother Bruce McCallum (Carl Reindell), who shares her rebellious spirit, insists that she was shot on purpose, while their father, Tucker (Charles Bickford), suspects her boyfriend, Dan Flood (Bert Brinckerhof), is responsible for the fire. This misunderstanding spirals into a chain of events that ultimately leads to murder.
