The Virginian (1962)

Episode Overview

A homesteader, played by Jack Warden, finds himself on the verge of being hanged by local ranchers, led by Major Cass (John Anderson), a scene witnessed by the Virginian and his fellow hands from Shiloh. Although the homesteader escapes execution, he sustains serious injuries. The Virginian steps in to assist him with farm work during his free time. As he digs deeper into the recent cattle thefts, the Virginian resolves to stand up for the homesteader against Major Cass and the other ranchers, including Judge Garth.
