Episode Overview
**Title: Riff-Raff** Plot: Molly Wood (Pippa Scott) informs Trampas about the beginning of the Spanish-American War and expresses admiration for a soldier in uniform. Inspired, Trampas heads to San Antonio, Texas, to enlist in Teddy Roosevelt's Rough Riders. Steve Hill and the Virginian follow, hoping to convince Trampas to come back, but they too decide to join despite the clash between their independent spirits and the rigid eastern officers, led by Lt. Drex (Ray Danton). In Cuba, after Lt. Drex is injured, the Virginian takes charge of a mission with Steve and Trampas to neutralize snipers and a concealed cannon. Upon returning to Medicine Bow, they find out a celebration is planned in their honor at the Town Hall.
